Producer, To Miss The Ending for New Creatives North
New Creatives North, co-funded by Arts Council, BBC Arts and managed by Tyneside Cinema is an exciting talent development scheme that offers opportunities for creators aged 16 to 30 to be mentored by experienced artists to make new artistic works in film, audio or interactive media, designed for BBC channels and platforms.
As Producer for New Creatives North on the immersive XR strand, I worked with the Manchester-based theatre company idontloveyouanymore to create a new theatrical animation film for virtual reality - To Miss The Ending.
It was a brilliant project to work on with fantastic artists Anna and David from idontloveyouanymore and Jamie and Tom from WeMakeAudio.
The film premiered as part of the Immersive XR strand at the BFI London Film Festival 2020 and went on to win Best XR / Immersive Art at the BFI London Film Festival Awards 2020!
We were so proud to win this award as we were such a small team and everyone worked remotely throughout the lockdown period to make this project possible.
